The Conference Center at Bentley University was honored with the 2008 Facilities & Destinations Conference Prime Site Award of Excellence from the Facilities Media Group in New York. Bentley is among approximately 50 recipients in the U.S. and Canada to receive the national award, which will be announced in the Facilities & Destinations Conference 2009 Issue. Other Massachusetts winners include the DCU Center in Worcester, TD Banknorth Garden and the Boston Convention Center.
This is the first time that the long-standing Prime Site Award of Excellence includes a conference category, open to meeting hotels and resorts, university facilities and stand-alone meeting venues. Voted on by industry members who are directly involved with site selection -- such as corporate and association meeting planners and executives -- the award recognizes excellence in service, management and personnel, as well as the physical facility itself.
"Our constant goal is to strive to always provide the best service possible - to all of our customers on and off campus -- and to be recognized by our own customers on such a national level is certainly one of the proudest moments for the staff. The other winners certainly put us in good company," said Rob Webb, director of Conference Services at Bentley.
